1. 去一个安全的地方. 校园 Public Safety and the Albany or Colchester Police Department can help you do this. Officers of those agencies are trained to respond to the needs of a victim of sexual assault, 暴力的关系, 和被人跟踪. They can also make you aware of support and advocacy services and advise you about reporting procedures and requirements.

Anyone with knowledge about an incident is strongly encouraged to make a report as soon as possible as a delay in reporting may impact the College's ability to respond promptly and effectively or to take disciplinary action against an individual.

向第九条协调员报告

第九条协调员是指那些, 根据法律(第九条), have remedial authority to address sexual misconduct complaints on behalf of the College. The 第九条协调员 will review options and resources with the reporting individual, explain their options for making formal complaints either with the College or with local law enforcement, 以及报告个人的其他权利.

你有权利 to emergency access to the 第九条协调员 or a Compliance Officer, who will be available upon the first instance of disclosure by a reporting individual to provide immediate information and assistance regarding:

• 在适用情况下, the importance of preserving evidence and obtaining a sexual assault forensic examination as soon as possible;
• 以及刑事司法程序, including that it utilizes different standards of proof and evidence and that any questions about whether a specific incident violated the penal law should be addressed to law enforcement or to the district attorney.
